Hard Drives are Tested with "dd", "ddrescue", or "mkefs".
These Programs Do A Full Read-Write Test of The Entire Drive.
The Tests Can Last Many Hours, and If The Drive Fails, It Is Scrapped.
Before use with Windows or MacIntosh, These Drives Must Be
"Full-Formatted", not "Quick-Formatted". They Have Been Fully Wiped.
